BOOKING SYSTEM

Privacy Policy

Last changes: November 23rd 2022

The booking system serves to bring together suppliers of appointments and customers and to simplify communication. For this purpose, the provider can offer appointment times and the customer can register for them. The data entered is stored. All data entered by customers can be viewed by the provider of the appointments. This includes the e-mail address, the name and possibly other fields that the provider asks for (you can define your own fields). The system allows the customer to see which times are free and then, by entering their information, tells the supplier that they want to book the selected appointment.

Cookies

The internet pages partly use so-called cookies. Cookies do not damage your computer and do not contain viruses. Cookies serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and safer. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer and saved by your browser.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called "session cookies". They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser on your next visit and, for example, to enter the name you used last time you made a booking or to show you your existing bookings and, depending on the configuration of the booking website, to cancel them.

You can set your browser to inform you when cookies are set and to allow cookies only in individual cases, to exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and to activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be limited.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process or to provide certain functions you request (e.g. shopping basket function) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised provision of his services. Insofar as other cookies (e.g. cookies for analysing your surfing behaviour) are stored, these are dealt with separately in this data protection declaration.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser or the apps automatically transmit to us in "server log files". These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

These data will not be combined with data from other sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) DSGVO, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.

Collection and use of personal information

Personal information is data that can be used to uniquely identify or contact a person.

The booking system uses the data entered by you and your customers and stores it on a server. This may also include personal information. The data is currently stored on servers of the company “Hetzner” (in Germany), which also take care of the security of the servers. The data will not be given to other companies. However, it is possible to use the entered e-mail addresses to send e-mails to the persons, e.g. with appointment reminders or appointment confirmations. Push notifications are also used, for which services from Google and Apple are used to send messages about appointment bookings to the provider of the respective booking system. Names that you enter can be displayed to other users if the owner of the account has configured his website this way. When booking a time slot the IP address and the “http user agent” data is saved to prevent spam and other unallowed uses of the website. The data that you enter might also be sent by email to the owner of the account.

If you give us feedback and suggestions, you allow us to use them without compensation or obligation.

Collection and use of non-personal information

Non-personal information is data that cannot be used to uniquely identify a person.

  • Our app checks from time to time if there are updates or news on a server. In this case we save the IP, device type, language, operating system, date and time of your request.

Use of other services

Another option is to use Stripe for payment processing. The Stripe privacy policy can be found here: https://stripe.com/en-de/privacy
